Just my Luck

So today (well technically yesterday...), among other things, I went to Carl's Jr with my family for lunch since it was National Frech Fry Day. They didn't give us free fries or anything, but it was my mom's excuse to eat out. I also made a new skirt. And I looked so trendy in my new striped hi-low (or mullet or whatever you call it) skirt and floral print top. At 7:00, my friend called me from work and said one of our co-workers didn't show up and asked if I could come cover for her! Of course, I said yes, since I'm only going to have a job for about another month. Here's the thing: I work as an usher at a theater (like musicals and plays, not movies), and the show starts at 7:30, so we normally clock in at 6:40-ish to get set up. They needed me to come before the show started. So here I am, in my super cute outfit, but I needed to change into black bottoms and a white top. Luckily I just refashioned a dress into a black skirt with an elastic waist band, so I could throw that on easily. But then I couldn't find any of my white shirts. So I dug through my "to get rid of" pile and grabbed out an old white tee. We also have to wear black flats, so I grabbed our a pair. But I only had one shoe of the pair I wanted. so I grabbed out my worn out sparkly flats. Thank you Friday the Thirteenth. I threw on a headband and some jewelry and drove as fast as traffic would allow me to work. So today you get some crappy pictures of my thrown together work outfit. (By the way, at work we wear the world's most horrible vests ever. If I ever find my cord that connect my phone to the computer, you will get to see it.)

Yup. Lovely pics, I know. I love my red-eyes. (I get them in every picture ever....) And my minimal make-up face.
I'm going to re-wear my cute outfit tomorrow, so maybe you will get to see it! If not, I'm sure you will see it in the future sometime. :)

Oh, and just so you know, I made myself a black tulle skirt when I started working at the Theater. I got so many compliments on it! I would also wear super fun heels and colorful shoes. But then one day, there was an usher meeting and BAM no more tulle skirt or colorful heels. Black flats. :( Good thing I own a crazy insane amount of jewelry so I can still spice up my work look!

What I'm Wearing
Shirt: Kohl's (way old)
Skirt: Refashioned from a dress from Romy
Shoes: Wet Seal
Head Band: Left over fabric from the skirt I made today
Necklace: Gift
Bracelet: From Grandma from Isreal

Hope you all had a great National French Fry Day and a lucky Friday the Thirteenth (unlike me)! :)
