Well, lets see, some awesome things have happened since I last really posted about my life. There is a lot, though, so I am putting it into parts.
In April, I had finals to study for, and projects to do. Well, a project. A HUGE project. One that pretty much determined my grade in advertising, and could be the making or breaking point for getting into the advertising program. And my advertising group and I were all super procrastinators. Our project was finished at 6 in the morning the night it was due. I wasn't even there when the book was actually being made. I'm just glad that all of the advertisements we made were my idea, or stemmed from my idea. I'm just pretty awesome like that.
Well, with that on top of studying for finals (Book of Mormon and American Heritage were the ones I was worried about) I was SOO stressed out. And on top of all that, the week before finals, my body decided to have SUPER-PMS. (TMI? Sorry, not sorry. Get over it.) I mean, I normally just get a little emotional and super flirty when I'm PMS-ing, but I think with all the stress I had, my body just went CrAzY. I would seriously be laughing with my friends one minute, and the next, I was on the floor bawling. It was so bad. SO BAD. Ugh. But, I must say, my friends are dang patient with me, and I totally didn't deserve it. I mean I was a huge brat, and they still were so understanding. I don't know how. I would have just left me to cry on the floor if I was them.
The week before finals, our hall did a clothing swap. Everyone put their unwanted clothes in a huge pile in the basement and then anyone could take whatever they wanted. And can I just say, it was the best thing EVER. Like, free clothes? Yes, please! I put a few of my things out, but I got way too much. I was a little obsessed. It got to the point that I would literally spend everyday studying in the basement just so I would have first dibs on everything that came down. And it was well worth it. I ended the Hall Swap with 3 skirts, 3 pairs of pants, 3 cardigans, 2 jackets, 1 tunic, 1 dress, 2 bracelets, 1 brooch, 1 pair of leggings, 9 shirts, 1 pair of shorts, 1 cami, 1 pair of pants for my mom, 3 shirts for my mom, 1 shirt for a friend, about 5 yards of purple tulle, 1 rock that says "friends" on it, a bag of confetti, and a box of bubbles. Yeah, so there are a few non-clothing things in there. Also, throughout the week we were all leaving the dorms, people would leave boxes of stuff outside their doors that they didn't want, so I got another skirt and a bunch of nail polish. Can I just say, I love free stuff!!
Well, I finally got through that week, and I got all my finals done so quickly. I was done with all my finals by Monday, and I wasn't leaving until Friday. So pretty much I partied with all my peeps who had not left yet. Haley, Julianne, and I went and found out which apartment we were assigned to. It turns out it was one of the ones we had actually walked through! I am so excited to live with those girls! Somehow I got all my stuff packed up, and my dad came to pick me up, and we cleaned my room, checked out, and that was it. I was done with my Freshman year! And I was going home! But only for one evening, because then I was going to CALIFORNIA!!!
The one night that I was home, I really wanted to see Jake (who is the missionary I keep talking about, btw). But he had this rule where he would not hang out with me alone, which I found both cute and lame at the same time. So I had to come up with something for us to do, and someone to do it with. After thinking of stuff that would not work, I had a stroke of genius! My brother, Jesse, is 16, but because he is autistic and has no interest in dating whatsoever, he had never gone on a date. So we tricked him into going on a double date with us. We just told him we were going to "hang out" and play Just Dance then go get ice cream. So we had him call one of out family friends and ask her to join. We played Just Dance for a while, then ended up playing Rock Band. Then we went and got ice cream, and dropped off Jesse's date. We didn't tell him it was actually a date until later, and he was surprised, but realized that going on dates doesn't have to be romantic, it can just be fun! Well, then Jake and I went to go pick up my younger brother, Devin, up from a stake dance. We went for the last ten minutes and just partied it up. Then Jake went home and I packed for CALI!!
Check back later for my California craziness! :) (Which will include pictures, even though this post doesn't.)
P.S. If you actually read my blog, like read all of the crap I post, you are my favorite person ever. Because I probably wouldn't do the same. I don't like the reading part of blogs, I like pictures and the occasional funny story. Sorry for being a hypocrite.
