So, Hello there. I'm Kai. You know, just in case you have forgotten. It's been a LLOOOONG time since I posted. When I started this blog a year and a half ago, I thought I would be all cool and blog-famous by now. But I'm really not, and that is pretty discouraging. I don't understand why some people have over 1,000 followers after like two years, and I have four. I tried the whole fashion blogging thing, and that didn't end up how I wanted, so it kinda changed to more of a lifestyle blog, I guess, and still that seems to get me no where. What is the secret? I think I am just as adorable and funny as all those other blogs I read, but they are famous, and I'm not. It just doesn't make any sense to me.
One of my goals this year is to triple the amount of followers. I mean, it shouldn't be THAT hard to get eight more followers, right? Just eight more. That is all I'm asking for. (I would love to get more than that, but that is just what I'm shooting for.)
I realize that in order to get more followers, I'm also going to have to be a better blogger. Now, I'm not promising posts every day, but I am going to shoot for two posts a week. I should be able to handle that. I also want to get my blog back to more of a fashion/style blog, since that is really something I am into. I do want to have other kinds of posts too, but have the main purpose of my blog be about cute, cheap, modest fashion.
And here is a post to start this new year, new blog off right.
This outfit it very me-ish. :) The skirt is actually a dress I got from my roommate since it is too short on her. Well, it is the perfect length on me, and it just so happens to be the Color of 2014: Radiant Orchid. I love this color to death. Seriously! The black and white stripes work perfectly with this skirt (and those ruched sleeves are my very favorite sleeves!), and the green necklace adds sparkle and some more color to the outfit. This outfit was almost free, but really doesn't look like it.
What I'm Wearing:
Dress (worn as Skirt): Roommate (from DI) - $0
Shirt: Saver's - $4
Necklace: Charlotte Russe - ($5, but used gift card) $0
Belt: off a dress from Romy - (dress was around $20, but i consider the belt free) $0
Outfit Total: $4
I love cheap outfits. Thrifting is the best, and hand-me-downs are even better! I'm pretty sure over half of the clothes I own were thrifted or free. (And I own over two months worth of clothes... I'll post about my clothing challenge later.)
Well, here is to the new year! Hopefully it goes by quickly and wonderfully!
PS- I promise I won't have many more phone/mirror pics! I got a new camera for Christmas (not like a super fancy thing with different lenses and stuff, but a lot nicer than my old one, which I got for my thirteenth birthday.) I'm still figuring out how to get the best pictures on it, a lot of come out blurry, but I'm very technologically impaired so I just have to play around with it for a while. :)
